Understand the broad choices
Menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) can help with certain menopause symptoms, but it is not suitable for everyone. Non-hormonal prescription treatments, psychological approaches and lifestyle support may also have a role. Different symptoms may need different approaches.
Ask about the decision, not just the product
Ask which symptom a treatment aims to help, its likely benefits and risks for you, what it costs and when to review it. Discuss your medicines, supplements and relevant health history. This page cannot recommend a medicine, dose or treatment plan.
Be cautious with sweeping claims
“Natural” does not automatically mean safe. Evidence for many complementary products is limited; ask a clinician or pharmacist about safety and interactions. A product should not promise to balance every hormone or solve every midlife concern.
